The August 12th meeting was held at Festival Foods, 3207-80th Street, Kenosha, WI, second floor conference room at 1:00 p.m.  Seven members were present.
A one day workshop called the Jane Scheef Lace Day had been suggested. Rose Ann has not heard back from Gwen Wylie yet regarding availability

Maker Faire in Pleasant Prairie on Nov 25th.   Please let Trish know if you would like to demo lace as this will be a new location (Rex-Plex).   If we have four people, I will reserve a table for us.

Jan will speak at the September meeting about the IOLI convention. She did send the CD to the meeting and Barbara Gordon is looking at it this month.   Speaker list for next convention in San Antonio will be sent to members.
Pat and Theresa reported on their demo at Cedarburg (Kathy and Sue Anna were also at demo). There were many interested participants. The youngest person to tat a fish was 3 1/2 years old! People appreciated seeing lace made and had a better appreciation of the lace exhibit. The quilt part of the exhibit was "death"  quilts.

Pat will have a session at her house, perhaps on October 21st, so couching can be taught and completed prior to the November retreat.  Let her know by September 15th if you need a kit. (around $10)

Hospice tree -  Rose Ann will do the garland and Pat will do the tree skirt. Volunteer needed for tree topper, scaled for a 4-foot tree

Barbara shared a tree ornament tatted using Josephine knots.  Can be seen on "Ice Drop Addict" on FB.

Hospice Alliance is serving the veteran population and is looking for people to make quilts that are 3 feet by 4 feet, fabric, knit or crochet, colors preferably in Red, White and Blue.  They can be dropped off at their office Monday through Friday, 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158.

Remember to keep track of your demo lace hours
