Lighthouse Lacers

November 2017 Lighthouse Lacers Newsletter

Meeting on Oct. 14 was held at Festival Foods, 3207-80th Street, Kenosha, between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. There was quite a rain storm this day.  President Rose Ann conducted the meeting. There were six members present.

Jane Scheef Lace Day discussion. Find out how many are interested in Torcheon workshop. There was also discussion about using some of the funds towards expanding our resource library.

Four members  demonstrated lace to the Christian Women's  Group - Basilica of St Joseph's in Milwaukee - on Sept 25th, Rose Ann, Pat, Jan, and Marilee. There were around 30 women in attendance and a gift of $100 was received. This will go towards purchase of hospice tree.

While looking through pictures that Theresa offered to organize and put into album, a full weekend retreat was suggested to allow time for new project work. Group also used to have dinner at restaurants instead of homes. Rose Ann offered to check availability of local restaurant. Pat has been the gracious December hostess for several years.

Hospice suggested having our tree available in summer to display at Saturday markets. Rose Ann will suggest that a poster display be used instead with a few sample ornaments due to concerns about weather and starched ornaments.

Barbara shared more of her beautiful ice drops
