November 2016 Lighthouse Lacers Newsletter

Per Sue Anna, The Demo at Civil War Museum is on Saturday December 3rd from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Setup is 9:30 - 10:30 a.m, that morning.

Please let Pat Frieman know if you are coming to the potluck so she has enough places set at the table. Arrive by 1:00 p.m. and we will eat around 1:30 p.m. See email/phone number below.

October 8th - Tree trimming at Hospice Alliance.  Per Fran, the tree was set up and decorated.  As usual, it is beautiful. Thanks to all who donated ornaments. We were told that some new places have been added to where the tree will be displayed. (St. Mary Church, St. Elizabeth Church and St. Anne)
Sue Anna reported that she had a great time at the Palmetto Tatting Days. She learned several new tatting techniques.

It was decided that the Pleasant Prairie Mini Maker Faire on 11-26 did not sound like something we would be interested in.

Raffle tickets for the Hospice Alliance Holiday Raffle were handed out to members who were present. The raffle is December 5th. The stubs and money should be turned in by 12-4 or earlier.

Nominating committee needs to select slate of officers for December election.

November 12th - 9:00 a.m. Retreat.  Pat will be teaching Teneriffe. Only need to bring your own thread (20 or 30 weight as she has rest of supplies) and scissors. As usual, members can come and work on their own projects to enjoy the day. Potluck at lunch time. Location Avalon Park Clubhouse (same as last year). Let Pat know if you are coming: Patfrieman@gmail.com or 262-694-1372. She will email patterns to you and we can plan on appropriate amount of food and settings. Entrance to complex is off of Green Bay Road across from Kenosha Water Utility and between the new Hanson Pool business and Sunset Ridge Mausoleum. You can put my address in for GPS directions: 6305-44th Street, Kenosha, WI.  As of today, 10 people coming. I also have a bag of thread to share.
