Lighthouse Lacers

July 2016 Lighthouse Lacers Newsletter

Meeting on June 11th was a potluck at Candy Klee's.  Thank you for hosting the group, Candy. Nine members were present to enjoy food and conversation. Short business meeting was led by president Sue Anna. Topics covered were: basket to be sent to IOLI for raffle, cancel July meeting, website up and domain name purchased by Barbara's brother (Tom Hansen is donating his time and $10 fee to our group).  Pictures are welcome to supplement what is online now.

July 9th - Due to lack of space at either Library, WE WILL NOT BE MEETING THIS MONTH. Suggestion was made to check out community room at Festival Foods store in Kenosha for future meetings. There is also a Festival Foods store being built on Green Bay Road next to Walmart - opening July 23rd.

July 16th - 23th, IOLI convention "Race to Make Lace" Indianapolis,  https://internationalorganizationoflace.org/

August 13th, 1-3 p.m.,  Activity Room B, Southside Library, Kenosha, report from convention.

Sept 10th - Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival (Sept 8th - 11th, Jefferson County Fairgrounds).  As this is tree year, some members suggested scheduling a room and having a work meeting if not attending the Wool Festival.

Oct 8th - Tree trimming at Hospice.  Jan will clarify date/time.

Nov 12th - Retreat.  Jan will be teaching Teneriffe. Only need to bring your own thread (20 or 30 weight) Jan has rest of supplies. As usual, members can come and work on their own projects to enjoy the day. Potluck at lunch time. Hope to be able to reserve same clubhouse as last year.

Dec 10th - Potluck and election of officers.

Happy Lacing
