Lighthouse Lacers

January 2022 Lighthouse Lacers Newsletter

Happy New Year to all.

The snow is starting here. Hope you are all inside and are making lace in some fashion today. The old saying is, “What you do on New Years Day, you will do throughout the year.” The December 11th meeting was attended by eight members.

Rose Ann arranged box lunches from the Corner Bakery that were enjoyed by all. We had an exchange of handmade gifts and Candy brought large tote bags to share with us.  It was great catching up with everyone.

The short business meeting included collection of annual dues of $6 and reinstatement of current officers for the coming year.  Reminder that 2022 is the year to provide and decorate a tree for hospice in October. The meeting on Jan 8th will be a planning session for the year. Bring your ideas of what you would like to do, what you might be interested in teaching or discussing about lace in any  form. At this time, the community room at Avalon Parc is available for weekend rental, so we could do projects that take longer than a few hours (or be joined by anyone wishing to finishing a UFO in fellowship).

Trish will also be sharing the zoom meeting that is scheduled for Jan 4th by the current IOLI regional director, Ruck Buck.  She also has information on an international Lace Dress project that anyone can participate in.

Remember to track your hours for IOLI. Tentative schedule of meetings to be held between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. at Ocenco, Inc.,
10224-82nd Avenue, Pleasant Prairie, WI are as follows:
