February 2019 Lighthouse Lacers Newsletter

Meetings will be held in the second floor conference room (by deli department and accessible by stairs and elevator) at Festival Foods, 3207-80th Street, Kenosha, WI, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

The January 12th meeting was attended by eight members.
Rose Ann reviewed the following items:
Everyone enjoyed the holiday party held last month at Festival Foods.
She has not heard back from Hospice regarding the money raised by raffle.
Suitcase with CD library is in her basement. She will resend the list of CDs.
Discussed additional alternative locations for meetings.
Retreat - Jan will teach Schneeberger on April 14th.  Avalon parc clubhouse has been reserved.
9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Potluck lunch. project takes 80 weight thread and only five bobbin pairs. OR bring your own project and enjoy the work day.
Show and tell included:Theresa with a piece of butterfly lace to identify type of lacework, Barbara brought two display boards with lace from Jane Scheef’s estate (will be stored with Rose Ann) and a tatted angel, Kathy made earrings out of the tiny baskets made by Candy, Jan shared tatted bookmark samples along with her jacket with tatted trim made with variegated threads.

Thanks to Rose Ann and Pat who printed and cut the two pieces to insert into the 300 luggage tags that we assembled to be sent as convention favors.

IOLI registration opens online Feb 15.
IOLI convention in Spokane Valley, WA - July 21-27.
