Greetings on this beautiful
sunny morning in
The last official meeting for our
Guild was on Jan 13th at the Southside library in
and was attended by five people. The
weather (bitter cold and snow) kept many away. Prior to
this meeting , the board met after our December
luncheon. We discussed what needed to be done to
dissolve the Guild and how to handle dispersal of money,
records and property. Rose Ann also acquired
lacemaking supplies from the estate of Cathy Mach. These

Rose Ann will be returning the two Guild charters to
IOLI. The president’s pin was never in her possession,
so if a past president has that, please let her know as
that is also to be returned. The
money in CD and bank will be distributed after final
expenses are submitted for mailing charters. Donations
need to be made to a non-profit per IOLI. Documentation
of receipt of donations also needs to be submitted to
Members present voted to donate
to Hospice Alliance, the library, IOLI and also purchase
a bench at Hawthorne Hollow. The plaque will read
(depending on space) "In honor of lace makers: past,
present and future from the Lighthouse Lacers."
Once we know of bench placement, plan to meet when the
weather is nice.
Jan will be notifying Hospice
that our biannual decorated tree will no longer be
coming as they also sought other donations for the
raffle. Trish will write a thank you letter to Tom
for his ongoing support of our website. Rose Ann
will work with Tom on what is the best way to retire the
website or refer people to an alternative group of
lacemakers in the
area. L.A.C.E meets on the third Saturday of the month
AM- in person and by Zoom.
non-profit, we are required to retain records -
financial and board meetings - once disbanded for seven
years. Therese will hold these records. Rose Ann
also needs to notify the state to remove our non-profit

Sylvia will take possession of
our lace banner. Books and threads and demo supplies are
being donated to LACE.
Jan thanked the board for their
support of the Lacers.
