Let's hope those April showers (snow flakes) will give
way to only the more traditional kind this month.
The March meeting was attended by seven members. Our VP,
Fran, led the meeting and the following was covered:
Discussion about possible topics to cover this year
included: how to make a nice center (magic thread), how
to end bookmarks (diagonal and straight edges), six pair
crossings with three braids or tallies, weavers knot,
framing simple pieces with foot edge plait, and two tone
tulle.
Agenda was set for the rest of the year. See
below.
Show and tell - Sylvia has been busy since we last saw
her in November. She designed and made the angel tree
topper for our hospice tree, made 30 different ornaments
for the tree, had a number of bookmarks and several
double sided ornaments, and a copy of Simple Lace that
published one of her ornaments.
She also mentioned a European teaching site with lots of
learning material - bobbinlace.eu that she has been
using.
Trish shared the tree skirt sample. The final project is
white with gold as the striping to match the angel.
We had a chance to catch up with everyone.
The convention favors were not started at this meeting.
The April 9th meeting will be held from
